Hello doctor! I am 33 years old. I started drinking in 2007 and continued till July 2016. It was mostly on weekends or in parties. Now I want to quit drinking completely. I am suffering from acidity and that is the only problem which I am facing. I want to know doctor if I quit drinking now then will I be safe in future or is there any chance of any dangerous disease in future. Please doctor suggest what is beneficial for me. Thanks a lot Sir.

By stopping alcohol now future damage can be prevented. Even weekend drinking s have been found to produce fatty liver and gastric ulcer. So good that use decided to stop drinking. If you have craving, kindly consult a psychiatrist for anti-craving drugs for alcohol.

Yes, from what you are saying, it appears there is no irreversible damage as of now. So if you quit completely now, dangerous diseases are unlikely to occur in future. Take care and congratulations on your decision to quit!
