High blood pressure (hypertension) is a risk factor that can increase your chance of developing heart disease, a stroke, and other serious conditions. As a rule, the higher the blood pressure, the greater the risk. Treatment includes a change in lifestyle risk factors where these can be improved. For example, losing weight if you are overweight, regular physical activity, a healthy diet, cutting back if you drink a lot of alcohol, stopping smoking, and a low salt and caffeine intake. If needed, medication can lower blood pressure. What is blood pressure? blood pressure is the pressure of blood in your blood vessels (arteries). Blood pressure is measured in millimetres of mercury (mm hg). Your blood pressure is recorded as two figures. For example, 150/95 mm hg. This is said as 150 over 95. The top (first) number is the systolic pressure. This is the pressure in the arteries when the heart contracts. The bottom (second) number is the diastolic pressure. This is the pressure in the arteries when the heart rests between each heartbeat. Blood pressure of 140/90 mm hg or above (or home/ambulatory readings 135/85 mm hg or above) if your blood pressure is always in this range you will normally be offered treatment to bring the pressure down, particularly if you have: a high risk of developing cardiovascular diseases (see below). Or an existing cardiovascular disease (see below). Or diabetes. Or damage to the heart or kidney (organ damage) due to high blood pressure. What causes high blood pressure (hypertension)? the cause is not known in most cases this is called essential hypertension. The pressure in the blood vessels (arteries) depends on how hard the heart pumps, and how much resistance there is in the arteries. It is thought that slight narrowing of the arteries increases the resistance to blood flow, which increases the blood pressure. The cause of the slight narrowing of the arteries is not clear. Various factors probably contribute. In some cases, high blood pressure is caused by other conditions it is then called secondary hypertension. For example, certain kidney or hormone problems can cause high blood pressure. Advice - regular monitor bp, sbl drops no. 4 (hypertension)- 10-15 drps in 1/4th cup of water 3-4 times a day all are temporary treatment as per provided information, for permanent cure we need detail history and investigations. Homeopathy is best, safe and effective. We treated every day 5+ patients of blood pressure, stress etc with no side effects, no worries our 94% success rates makes sure we're the complete package.

Ideally the bp should be between 110/70 to 120/80. And 130/90 is considered as borderline or beginning of hypertension. Precaution o be taken: eat less salt, eat high fiber diet with lots of fruits and vegetables. Avoid junk food, refined and packaged food as they have lots of salt and fats and artificial preservatives. Exercise 1-2 hrs daily. Do yoga and pranayam at least 5 days a week. (learn from experts to maximise the benefits. Stop or avoid alcohol, tobacco and other intoxicants. Keep checking bp regularly. Start treatment if it remains high in spite of all these precautions.
