I am 33 year old male, by profession in sales marketing, have to under go more than 100 Km journey everyday in bike. I feel sleepy through out the day, even though I have good sleep at night of 6 hours. Normally I don't take any medicine daily for any disease. Please note that you are doing heavy work/even riding bike for 100 km is very hectic and that to daily. Its is quiet natural that your body will not permit to do such routine for very long -- you have to make a way out for your job. Under such condition even if you sleep for 6 hours sound sleep your body is not permitting you to do the same hectic job next day. You need to take rest for some days. Your problem is lack of rest, exhaustion and lack of nutrition in diet. I understand the job of sales is tough but you need to be fit to do work. I would suggest you the following: 1. before leaving office in the evening write down the tasks to be done next day. one way to deal with heavy workload is be organised, so use a diary for daily duties. 2. Have dinner atleast an hour before going to bed and have some lukewarm milk before going to bed, it will help in getting good sleep and keep your digestion better. 3. Lack of nutrition is one of the leading reasons for feeling sleepy, weak and exhausted. Add protein and fruits to your diet. Have one different fruit daily. have 6-10almonds daily. have 1-2 eggs daily you can take out yellow part if you want. have a glass of milk with protein powder easy is proteinex. 4. don't skip meals that will increase your appetite for ready foods like fried things samosa etc. and cold drinks. in case you are not getting time for lunch keep a pack of nutri multigrain biscuits in your bag or some fruit. 5. Cut down coffee or tea, and don't have empty stomach have some biscuits with them. 6. last but not the least daily brisk walk of 45 minutes and stretching exercise for 15min will keep you fit. wish you all the best..
