Are otrivin drops safe for my 50 days old baby as he is suffering from blocked nose and cough .doctor has suggested novamox and solvin cold also. Please suggest.

no need of neither novamox and otrivin ..but simple nasoclear drops shall be sufficient.usually bacterial infection only needs antibiotics like novamox which always always be with fever..which is not the case here

You can use nasoclear drops which contain normal saline rather than otrivin which are medicated with oxymetazoline. Also, you can stop the other drugs. They are not necessary.
