Well, as far as I understand, certain vaccinations are not to be given during pregnancy or breastfeeding while some could be safe during breastfeeding. Age, apparently, is not a constraint. I still would advise you to connect with her OB/ GYN who can recommend apropos and also inform rightly on its safety aspects. Irrespective of vaccinations, regular pap screening is required still as vaccination may not give full protection against all types of 'Human Papilloma Virus' (HPV) infections. Hi. Usually the age is between 9 years to 26 years of age and ideally before sexual exposure happens. This vaccine prevents cancer of cervix due to HPV virus and not due to other causes too. It is best to discuss the benefits if any with your doctor before you consider the vaccine.

Dear lybrate-user, as such there is no harm in having cervical cancer vaccine, but why are you in so much hurry. You have to take such precaution unless there is severe indication or there are severe predisposing factors for cervical cancer formation. It is not a strict indication that cancer vaccine should be taken before 30 yrs. It can be taken at any age, but at the age of 30 cervix is more exposed to the insults, you can vaccinate your wife at your convenience.
