Mr. lybrate-user, If once diabetes occurs, then there is no possibility of reversing it. But T2 DM is a preventable condition. Which means if a person has family history of diabetes, plus if he is overweight and inactive, then he most likely to get it sooner than later. However, if he adapts a modified lifestyle - with regular exercise of over 1 hour a day, maintains normal body weight (BMI<23 kgs/M2), avoids sweets, junk foods, pastries, bakery items, sweetened aerated drinks and refrains from alcohol and smoking, then occurrence diabetes can be postponed or totally prevented. But once it sets in then there absolutely no possibility of reversing it. Thanks.
