Hi, ovigyn (hcg or human chorionic gonadotropin) is used for cryptorchidism, hypogonadotrophic hypogonadism, induction of ovulation. Human chorionic gonadotrophin stimulates the production of gonadal steroid hormones by inducing interstitial cells (leydig cells) of the testis to produce androgens and the corpus luteum of the ovary to produce progesterone. It shouldn't be taken without consulting your gynaecologist, she will tell you the dosage, frequency and it's repetition.

Absolutely safe- these are usually advised till 8-12 weeks. But nowadays we do not prefer tjis drug because of risk of ovarian hyperstimulation in mother.
