Dear Sir I had blood testing for hiv in indian red cross society ictc center. Test was combaids .they had provided with report signed by a doctor which was negative after 4 n half months of exposure I fear as test was free can I have chance catching any infection with syringes used do I need any further testing please help I am worried. In phobia.

Good Morning ~ The window period, i.e. The time difference between potential exposure and the time during which the virus can be detected in the blood of any person who is potentially exposed is commonly 2-3 months. It seems like you have passed the window period and would be safely likely to have another negative test now. To allay your anxiety please get another HIV test done.
