Dear lybrate-user, pneumoccocal vaccine is for pneumonia prevention. It is not given in national schedule and it is costly. Government does not provide it. However indian acadamy does recommend it there are two brands - synflorix and prevenar. Prevenar is costly. Both does not have much differences.
