Vaccines should be given against diseases like hepatitis, pneumococcus, influenza etc in diabetes. There can't be a vaccine ever made to cure diabetes coz its not a disease but a dysfunction due to B cell destruction or improper insulin molecule or receptor. Insulin is the best drug against diabetes and continue your treatment from an authentic physician coz lots of bogus doctors practice diabetes and end up giving complications like brain stroke or heart attack to patients. Stay fit, limit diet and stay compliant to medicines. Remember many superstar are suffering from diabetes and are taking insulin so pls do not believe on bogus ayurvedic, homeopathic or other self proclaimed diabetic specialist doctors for diabetic treatment and hamper your health. Tc.

lybrate-user, I am not aware of any vaccine being developed for treating or preventing diabetes. Normally vaccines are used or developed against infective diseases like - small pox, polio, mumps, measles, hepatitis, HIV etc (all viral infections) or bacterial diseases like pneumonia, TB, typhoid, etc. Diabetes can only be controlled by proper drugs, diet restriction and exercise. Thanks.
