My mom who is 64 years old has anal fissures. She got checked by her gynecologist who has given her ointments (Escot, Lox) for the same. For a few days she felt sm relief but now the problem persists. About 10-15 years ago she fell on an escalator n had got a slight injury to her tailbone. Kindly advise.

Anal fissure needs medical management like laxatives to avoid constipation, sitting in warm water twice a day, medication to relax anal sphincter. If symptoms persists contact Gastroenterologist.
