I'm having alopecia areata from last 8-9 years. Now I don't have any spot on head, but my both eyebrows n eyelashes, mustache n 60% of beard is gone n some spots on both hands n legs. I have consulted doctor he said to take injection (steroid) therapy n Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy both alternately only for facial hair. My question is will it give good results n cure me completely and mainly can steroid have any side effects in future. If yes then what kind of side effects? Please help me.

Its an auto immune disease and hence we can control it but not cure it fully and we can go for local steroid therapy and prp.
