My grandmother is now 67. And she got menopause at 45. 2 days back she got some bleeding .And today the bleeding was heavy. What could be the underlying cause. please help me with treatment.

Get a pap smear done for her to rule out cervical cancer. India is having highest population of cervical cancer, after China, she may not have had cervarix vaccines in her premenopausal days, so don't delay and immediately get a pap smear and sonography done for her, it's better to be safe than never. And prevention is better than cure, as even if there is cancer and it is in early stage, uterus can be removed, followed by chemotherapy and radiotherapy to prevent it spreading further.
