Daily after lunch I used to have one sugar candy or chocolate. I take medicine for sugar and it is under control. Is it harmful?

Hi Try not to take candy. Instead have a piece of dark chocolate which is more beneficial. Also check blood sugars frequently and make sure you maintain it within normal range.

Mr Ramachnadran, When one has diabetes it is always good to avoid taking direct sugar containing foods. The reason is there is a rapid increase in blood glucose after taking those foods. Even if you have blood glucose in "control", it is not good to indulge in such foods. Since there is no mention about what are the fasting & Pp glucose levels, it is difficult to comment. Because in control means fasting should be closer to 100 mg, PP 150 to 160 mg and HbA1c%<7. Thanks
