Yes, routinely, if a patient is on thyroxine tablets as you are on, one is required to have T3,T4,TSH done every 6 months. If not done, get it done to assess its normalcy before trying to conceive. Thyroxine deficieny i.e Hypothyroidism can cause mental growth retardation in babies, so one must ensure correct TSH levels before, and during pregnancy> After conception too you must get TSH done every 3 months as the demand for Thyrox will increase in pregnancy and you may be required to adjust doses to suit the demand
