Currently I am suffering from dry coughing since 5 days. I have visited to nearer clinic and doctor has given me Novaclav-625 (6 tablets) and one cough syrup COFDEX but it is not effective as coughing hasn't stopped yet. I am facing headache while coughing, I can't even sleep at night because of this. Please give me effective solution to get relief from dry coughing.

Dear lybrateuser, - Avoid exposure to cold weather,dust, smoke - avoid cold fluids, have more of warm fluids like water, tea, coffee, soup - mix 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder in a cup of warm milk & have 2-3 times a day - take tab levocetrizine, 10 mg, 1 tab daily in the evening - continue rest medication - do steam inhalation twice a day - do warm salt water gargles three times a day.

Avoid cold food and drinks for few days. take everything warm. Gargles with warm water and a pinch of salt will help u. Avoid exposure to dry cold wind,dust,pollution. Homoeopathy has great medicines for u,consult privately.TC
