Usually Government schemes only offer body worn and manual BTE devices which are practically obsolete! RIC type (receiver-in-the-canal) or ITC (in-the-canal) or CIC (completely-in-canal) are more expensive sophisticated Digital Multichannel hearing aids. The better hearing aids start at ?20,000 per ear and go on to almost ?4,00,000 per ear for the top of the line super-concealed nano-technology hearing aids!
