My wife is unable to conceive. Her period delayed every time. Every time her period comes in 2-3 months, and comes with the help of pills (regestrone). But this time we had decided not to take pills. So, her last period date was 23rd september 2016. After that period never happens. Now it has been five months. We have checked for pregnancy as well but result is negative. Our marriage completes one year and two months and we want a baby. But due to bad period cycles we are failed every time. We had consult with doctors as well. And gone through several tests like hsg, tsh, prolactin etc. Please suggest.

Looks like she has some hormonal problem due to which she is Not able to produce hormones enough to make the lining of the uteurs. This means she is also not producing an egg (ovum) thats necessary for pregnancy. She needs expert infertility evaluation and you must upload her hormone tests to show the levels. Mostly she will be having PCOD, and may require fertility enhancing medicines to cause ovulation. Do NOT shirk away from medicines. Just making periods by taking a tablet is not good. The treatment must be aimed at making her have ovulation, which will automatically bring her either a period or make her pregnant. DO not do doctor shopping and visit numerous doctors. Find one good one and follow up with that gynecologist for a good 6 months while tests and other treatments are offered to her. If she is overweight, that could be a reason too which may hamper her ovulation and periods. If overweight losing weight is the simplest thing one can do to help oneself.
