Hello, thanks for the query. Madam, I have seen the details. However, you have mentioned only tsh value, nothing about t3 & t4. It is necessary to know those values also. Tsh 4.6 mu/l is not really high. It must be with in the normal range mentioned in your lab report. In uncontrolled hypothyroidism tsh invariably goes uch higher and t4 values also may be low. Please come back with all the values also mention your weight & height. Thanks.

Hello, thanks for the query. I have seen the details mentioned. Please understand hashimoto's thyroiditis (ht) is an autoimmune phenomenon, that causes hypothyroidism. There is no medication to cure or remove it. In majority of hypothyroidism patients the cause is ht. In any form of hypothyroidism only treatment is to take adequate dosage of levothyroxine and maintain tsh with in the specified range as well as t4 in the normal range. There is no specific treatment for ht. Further there is no need to check anti tpo antibodies again & again. So do not worry about "curing ht" just take adequate dosage of levothyroxine and maintain tsh as well as t4 with in range. That will help you remain free from symptoms. If you have any questions please do come back. Thanks.
