Hello, the information you gave can give little idea but you need to work with therapist for best possible result. You have mentioned the history of depression. This can effect body in many ways but I suspect two issues 1. Irritable bowl syndrome (ibs) - digestive system disorder where all reports are normal still the symptoms of digestive disturbance are present. Food malabsorption and loose mptioms are common and generally, stress is the main cause of the changes in the physiology of our digestive system and diet and stress management are main therapy goals if someone is diagnosed with ibs and/or 2. Eating disorders: there are many types of eating disorder we need to evaluate your history in detail to understand which eating disorder like loss of appetite or compulsive behaviour of eating and removing food or other types of symptoms. Anorexia (loss of appetite) can lead to weight loss. And dietitian and psycologist can help you to regain your mental and physical fitness slowly and steadily. Only upon detailed evaluation your therapy will be started so do not delay and visit good team of healthcare experts in your city.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. If your Thyroid hormones and TSH are normal then there is less likely hood of having any problem with thyroid gland. Is there a definite increase in the size? Has the doctor confirmed it? Please get ANti TPO antibodies level checked, because if the gland size is increasing and TSH is still normal, there is a possibility of an autoimmune problem called Hashimoto's Thyroiditis (HT). Sorghum is fine, There is no problem with that. Soy beans should be avoided. Thanks.

There is no cure for coeliac disease, but switching to a gluten-free diet should help control symptoms and prevent the long-term consequences of the disease. Even if symptoms are mild or non-existent, it is still recommended to change your diet, as continuing to eat gluten can lead to serious complications. It is important to make sure your gluten-free diet is healthy and balanced. In Celiac's one has to avoid glutein containing food stuff as you are allergic to it. Glutein containing food stuff include wheat, ragi, jowar bajra. Problem is a lot of food items are derived from wheat which you have to avoid (rotis, aata/flour, maida or white flour, breads, cakes, pasta, maggi, cereals processed food like Kellogs flakes), biscuits, cookies, toffees (some of them). You have to basically restrict yourself to a rice based diet, unlimited fruits and vegetables, milk and milk products, meats which you will have no problems with. When ever you are buying processed food or packaged food, please always read the fine print of the ingredients or contents and avoid stuff which contain which contain wheat based products. Best is to buy food stuff which contains labels saying" GLUTEN FREE"
