I'm sorry to hear about the pain you're experiencing after your root canal. It's understandable that you're concerned about the new headaches and wondering who to consult. It's difficult to say for sure whether you should see a neurologist or dentist without knowing more about your specific situation. However, I can offer some general guidance: jaw and ear pain after a root canal is relatively common. It's often caused by inflammation from the procedure and usually subsides within a few days. However, if the pain is severe, persistent, or worsening, it's important to see your dentist to rule out any complications from the root canal itself, such as infection or nerve damage. If you're concerned about your headaches, it's always best to err on the side of caution and see a doctor. They can help determine the cause of your pain and recommend the best course of treatment. In the meantime, you can try over-the-counter pain medication like ibuprofen or acetaminophen to help relieve the pain. You can also apply ice packs to the affected area for 20 minutes at a time. I hope this information is helpful. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
