Surgery of the nose is called Rhinoplasty, all the surgery is done through the nostril holes so there is no scar outside. It takes 8 months to a year for best results and the results are lasting Yes some changes are possible with fillers which can be done in the clinic. For major changes surgery may be the only option Nose correction or Rhinoplasty is one of the most frequently performed surgeries and we are the pioneers in central India since last 30 years. We have to assess the nose from inside and outside to know its conditions. Surgery is the only answer. The surgery is almost painless because there are enough medications to keep the pain under control We need to examine the patient to know what is wanted and what can be done and to work out how much, when, where, etc

I am 23 years old. Can I speak naturally after throat cancer surgery? Or should I go for radiation therapy. ...
Ask Free Question
By throat cancer we usually mean mean laryngeal, or pharyngeal cancers. The options depend upon the stage of the cancer. If early stage T1 or T2 vocal cord disease, you may be offered either laser excision or radiation. The voice quality is almost similar with both, but may be poorer with laser especially if the anterior commisure is involved. Also, laser may be repeated, but radiation cannot. For more advanced diseases, the options are between organ preservation i.e. Chemoradiation vs surgery. Chemoradiation preserves the voice & the larynx (if salvage surgery is needed then it has higher morbidity than upfront laryngectomy, but is not recommended if the cartilage is involved by the disease (in which cases partial laryngectomy or supracricoid laryngectomy may be done if feasible) or if the larynx is dysfunctional i.e. Aspiration and voice hoarseness due to fixed Hemilarynx then a near total (voice preserving) or a total laryngectomy would be done, with a permanent stoma. After total laryngectomy, voice can be restored via 3 methods: 1) Tracheoesophageal puncture (TEP) where a hole is made between the trachea & Esophagus and a one way valve is inserted to allow air to move across & produce voice 2) Esophageal speech: swallows air is burped out to create vibrations and sound 3) Electrolarynx: artificial instrument creates vibration & articulation is used to create speech I hope I was able to clarify your doubts. Hi. It's 3 years post injury and the fact that you have started pain in your knee suggests that your cartilage in the knee has started to wear out. You need to get get your knee xrays done and also mri if required so see how much damage actually has already happened. If the damage is minimal then I would advise to get yourself checked for the actual cause and get it treated or else time is not too far that your knee joint may damage. For symptomatic treatment you can take etorocoxib 60 mg if severe pain. Acl tear is the most common Ligament which tears and can be easily treated with key hole surgery. Day care surgery don't fear.

Dear lybrate-user, first we need to identify what is the cause of your knee pain. The knee pain can be due to ligament injuries or due to damage to the cartilage (smooth surface of the joint). A good clinical examination will reveal the cause of the pain in the knee. It is preferable that you consult a good sports specialist or a joint specialist for your condition. After clinical assessment if the doctor feels, mri may be needed to identify the problem with accuracy. The problem can range from'insignificant' to'significant ligament tears' the treatment can vary depending on the injury. While most injuries can be treated with physical therapy the severe ones may need arthroscopy or key-hole surgery. Hope that helps.
