Neither covid has any role in cavity formation nor cavity can form in 2 days. Its a gradual process. When caries start no body notices it early as its while in colour. When it becomes brown or black then also its ignored most of the times. Tooth has 2 hard layers. Enamel and Dentin. Dentin being inner layer is also softer than outer layer the enamel. So When caries start in enamel its too small easily ignored. But when the decay reaches Dentin it spreads faster and makes the tooth hollow from inside leaving very thin part of enamel over it which fractures easily and a large cavity comes to notice of the person. It feels like cavity formed in a day or two but the process starts years earlier which has become prominent today. But then also no need to worry. If it doesn't pain, it can be filled and progression of decay can be arrested. Hope this helps
