Follow this 1. Do saline gargles daily. 2. Whenever possible do steam inhalation also. 3. Cover your nose and mouth with hanky for at least 30 sec when you go in dusty areas also when you go in and out of ac. As our nose is the most sensitive part of our body, when there is temperature difference between two rooms or inside n outside, then if we not protect our nose, it gets affected. 4. Drink hot liquids --hot liquids relieve nasal congestion, prevent dehydration, and soothe the uncomfortably inflamed membranes that line your nose and throat. 5. Sleep with an extra pillow under your head-- elevating your head will help relieve congested nasal passages. If the angle is too awkward, try placing the pillows between the mattress and the box springs to create a more gradual slope. 6. Treat that stuffy nose with warm salt water-- salt-water rinsing helps break nasal congestion, while also removing virus particles and bacteria from your nose. 7. Blow your nose often (and the right way)-- it's important to blow your nose regularly when you have a cold rather than sniffling mucus back into your head. But when you blow hard, pressure can carry germ-carrying phlegm back into your ear passages, causing earache. The best way to blow your nose: press a finger over one nostril while you blow gently to clear the other. Homeopathic treatment has very encouraging results. Consult online.

Since you are feeling good with this prescription, you are advised to stay with this treatment. Homeopathy cannot treat severe mental disorders. Instead, I suggest you seek a counselor's help and work with that therapy in tandem with the medication. As you improve over time you can consider modifying the drug. In counseling, you will learn skills, techniques, and tools to handle schizophrenia and its complications. This can equip you for life. The emotional side of this condition particularly needs attention. Since you are seemingly keen on coming off the medication that is a good aspiration but it has to be done sensibly. You shouldn't mess up with any attempt to do away with the medication and suffer severe adverse reactions that may become too difficult to reverse.

Dear lybrate-user, schizophrenia has both positive symptoms (hallucinations, delusions, disorganised thoughts) and negative symptoms (tiredness, lack of interest in any goal directed activity, lack of pleasure, restricted vocabulary, apathy, etc.) probably you would have become alright because of relief from positive symptoms. The negative symptoms also need treatment (amisulpride and aripiprazole). Please don't stop these medicines. Discuss with your psychiatrist. She/he may add an antidepressant or occupational therapy to get rid of your tiredness. She/he may find a hormonal or deficiency cause for your tiredness and treat it.

Dear lybrate-user, as I have already answered, schizophrenia needs long term maintenance dose of tablets. Relapses are worse to treat. You have not had any relapse since you were continuously on tablets. Your doctor is reducing the tablets, its dose and to less powerful tablets like aripiprazole. Let your doctor decide how long you will be on 15 mg. Since you don't have much side effect with aripiprazole, why don't you take it till the doctor decides the maintenance dose and tablet.
