Few diet tips - Not to eat fried food items and Can eat All green vegetables, moong , chana , Dal , rice etc And to apply ghee over chappati and don’t apply oil over chappati And to drink milk mixed with turmeric powder twice a day And If possible eat eggs on alternate days And If possible in breakfast eat atleast one bajra ka rotla And Eat seasonal fruit

I have my reservation on diagnisis and treatment. If it was uncomplicated Typhoid the first line of treatment is 3rd generation oral cephalosporin CEFEXIME not Azithomycin. Azithromycin is recommended in MDR cases. Well if your chikd is not running fever better stop all the medicines. Use of antibiotics should not be indescriminate. You have every right to ask your doctor regarding justification in use of antibiotics in case you or your child is suffering from fever. Remember most fevers in children are viral in nature and self limiting. Misuse of antibiotics is associated with emergence of antibiotic resistance untoward adverse side effects and increase in cost of treatment. Best wishes

You shall get blood culture report to reach to conclusion that which drug is effective for your child's typhoid fever. I doubt it is typhoid as 17 days fever is unusual.

Since fever is not associated with any other symptom n lasting for 15 days, it is advisable to stop all medicine n to maintain temp chart 4 times in a day for 4 days. Give paracetamol 125 mg if temp > 100' F n repeat after 6-8 hours if needed. Get blood tested for GBP/ PBS and urine R/e. Give him normal light diet and keep well hydrated. Then you may come back. There is no harm to take an other opinion.

In typhoid it takes 5 to 7 days for fever to go. If child is improving by look and food, it is ok. Discuss your worry with your pediatrician.

Oh so sorry to hear that. But basically both of this are water borne problem. So use sterile (boiled & cooled down) drinking water, frequently hand washing with soap, no other food then natural & home made - non spicy, rest is best remedy & must be 15 days atleast. Due antibiotics for typhoid for least 10 to 14 days.
