Hello, thanks for the query. I have gone through the details mentioned. Let me clarify, I am not a homeopath, so no comments can be made on your specific query on that particular medication. However, since I am a diabetes specialist, I am giving my opinion which may be accepted or not. To treat diabetes only known medications are from the modern drugs. A lot of claims are made about other medications, however, there no properly done double blind clinical studies showing unequivocal results about effectively controlling blood glucose. Since you are only 44 years, it is absolutely essential to achieve a strict blood glucose control as well a s maintain a normal range of bp. Ideal blood glucose needs to be: fbg < 100 mg or closer to 100 mg, pp 150 to 160 mg & hba1c% < 6.5%. These levels ensure that the long term complications associated with diabetes affecting micro & macro blood vessels, peripheral nerves (affecting retina, kidneys, penis, heart & lower limb blood vessels) can be either prevented or postponed. Similalry bp needs to be maintained around 120 - 130/ 70 - 80 mm hg, to prevent load on heart and also on kidneys as well as retina. So with the above medication that you have referred, if you are able to achieve these target levels, it is excellent or else it is essential to get treatment with proper modern medications. The choice is yours. Thanks.

Mr. lybrate-user, thanks for the query. I have seen the details given. However, what is mentioned is just one number of blood glucose level. That does not give any indication whether diabetes is well controlled or not. It is necessary to know following information: since when diabetes is preset? What are the fasting & pp glucose levels & hba1c%? Current treatment and are there any other symptoms like peripheral neuropathy or any issue with retina? As regards using tadanafil once a while is fine. But more importantly strict blood glucose conteol is absolutely necessary. Thanks.

Retinopathy of prematurity (rop) is an eye disorder caused by abnormal blood vessel growth in the light sensitive part of the eyes (retina) of premature infants. Rop generally affects infants born before week 31 of pregnancy and weighing 2.75 pounds (about 1,250 grams) or less at birth. In most cases, rop resolves without treatment, causing no damage. Advanced rop, however, can cause permanent vision problems or blindnes.

lybrate-user ji, thanks for the query. Madam, I have seen the details mentioned. It is clear that your present treatment is not at all helping in controlling blood glucose. So there is a need to give a total relook at the overall treatment. Which means we will have to look at your dietary details, extent of daily exercise, current medications, lipid profile, bp readings and get a retinal examination done to rule out any untoward effect on retina, plus serum creatinine and urea. So my suggestion is please coe back with all the necessary information preferably in a private conversation, so that I can guide specifically and will also be able to prescribe the necessary medications. In this communication we can only give general advise bu can not prescribe any medications. So please do the needful. I am sure you are aware that in a well controlled diabetes patient fasting glucose should be < 100 mg or closer to it. Pp should be 150 to 170 mg & hba1c% < 6.5%, I await your response. Thanks.
