Testosterone is an important hormone in both males and females, and it plays a crucial role in various bodily functions. It is primarily known for its involvement in sexual development and libido, but it also affects bone density, muscle mass, mood regulation, and overall energy levels. While testosterone is essential for sexual health and libido, it is not solely needed during intercourse. Adequate testosterone levels are necessary for maintaining overall well-being and proper functioning of the body. Testosterone deficiencies can lead to symptoms such as decreased sex drive, fatigue, reduced muscle mass, decreased bone density, mood changes, and cognitive issues. The ideal testosterone levels vary depending on age, sex, and individual factors. If you suspect you have low testosterone levels or are experiencing symptoms related to testosterone deficiency, it is advisable to consult with a healthcare professional. They can assess your specific situation and determine whether testosterone replacement therapy or other interventions may be appropriate for you.

Dear lybrate-user, may I please know if you are vegetarian or non vegetarian. Because unfortunately b12 can only be obtained from animal sources. However, if you are vegetarian but drink dairy products, then its fine. Vitamin d supplements usually donât help when taken orally as vitamin d can cause acidity like symptoms. It is better you get vitamin d through injection route. Also both vitamin b12 and vitamin d are fat soluble, so, never eat them on empty stomach. Have them after a meal. Please get 8 hours of sleep and increase your sunlight exposure. Wear clothes with skin exposed to sun particularly belly. Sunlight is very powerful source of vitamin d. Avoid nuts, seeds and dry fruits as they contain phytic acid which is antinutrients in nature. Dry fruits such as walnuts, almonds are antinutrients which deplete our calcium reserves, there causing weakness and even tooth decay. Consume ghee regularly. I wish you all the best.

Dear lybrate-user, at your age you should be eating 3 large meals viz breakfast, lunch and dinner. Vitamin b12 is best obtained from animal sources. So if you are vegetarian, must consume dairy products like ghee, curd. You must increase your time in sunlight exposure. Get vitamin d injection once in a month instead of taking capsules. Finish dinner by 8 pm as our digestive system is slightly weaker as night approaches. Avoid packed food such as noodles, pasta, rusk. Avoid nuts, seeds and dry fruits as they are antinutrients in nature due to their phytic acid content. Avoid ro water as it is deficient in essential minerals, thereby causing weakness and fatigue. Follow these steps, you will see immediate improvements.
