We visited to a neuro psychiatry doctor for my father as he was getting irritated for small things and very serious in small things. He took the medicine as prescribed by the doctor for one month. And for some skin issue he visited a doctor and was asked for diabetics test. Also taking medicine for skin disease as prescribed by doctor. Diabetics was normal earlier and after the test it came 465 (after food. So also he visited the diabetics doctor and is taking medicine for also. And now the neuro psychiatry doctor has changed the medicine which he has taken for 3 days and is denying to take and telling I can't take several medicine at a time. His mental condition is somewhat fine now. He is not getting irritated as he was getting earlier. So my query is can he stop the medicine prescribed by the neuro psychiatry doctor. Is after stopping the medicine will it cause some side effects or symptoms. The medicine are sulpitac 200 and prodine 5 mg. please reply my query. The doctor is not answering my call and appointment will be the next month 20th.

Dear lybrate-user,
it is nice of you to worry about your father. You can stop sulpitac and prodine, if you wish. It may not cause any withdrawal symptoms. But the original symptoms for which you consulted the doctor may come back. Either prepare to face them and restart the tablets or coax him to continue the tablet till next appointment. It is common or people to refuse to take psychiatric tablets.

It is more common in 17-21 years age, when women s eye contact in indian culture is misconstrued as love or attraction. It is not so. As you age you will realise this and be not bothered about it. For now, just realise looking at eyes either way alone is not an indicator of love or attraction.

Dear lybrate user. I can understand. Tic disorder comes under behavior addiction. Behavioral addiction is a form of addiction that involves a compulsion to engage in a rewarding non-drug-related behavior – sometimes called a natural reward – despite any negative consequences to the person's physical, mental, social or financial well-being. Behavior addiction needs to be curbed or controlled using your own self will power. Diverting your mind and body away from the circumstances which compels yo...more

Because of the loud shouting you should take her to a doctor and perhaps a short hospitalization too. She is displaying some typical signs of psychosis and this condition can only get worse if neglected. Yes, she can become really very strong and have immense energy in this stage. If she is not cooperative, the doctor may be willing to give you medicines that can be surreptitiously slipped into her food or drink and make her more amenable to therapy. Whatever your difficulty, you have to get her...more

Hello
Kanchan

In this relationship you both have love in past and have same feeling right now after long time.
As you both have personal life and have family and responsibility

It's not necessary if you love someone and you can get him or her as a life partner but you can still keep relationship as a good friend and have to keep a limit in mind.

Good friendship is a best solution. But don't try to cross limit and don't think to get him
Just be happy as some...more

Hi, I can understand your concern for your brother. He must be going through the break up depression. De does need to be handled by professional psychologist and if needed for medical treatment. Many times counseling itself helps though it takes a little long. Family support is the most important key factor.
