I am 43 years old lady on progesterone for three months for adenomyosis and heavy menstrual flow. One month ago one day when I got up I saw brown patches (blemishes) on my right forehead, cheek and upper lips. A day before that I had applied indigo for hair colour. Had been using hyaluronic acid before that for two months. My skin complexion has become two shades darker and full of dents. I had a flawless spotless skin. Never used cosmetics. Please help .what can be the reason of my blemishes?

Sir, uterus is enlarged in size. A hypoechoic sol (3.814.26 cm) is seen in myometrium. Cervix appear clearly. Endometrium not clearly delineated. Uterus =6.499.79*5.13 cm. This hypoechoic sol was 1 cm before 7 months ago. Can you tell me surgery is needed or not? And is it dangerous?

I am 39 years old with 2 kids (c-section). I am suffering from heavy bleeding since many years which affected my quality of life. Lately I was diagnosed with adenomyosis. I have already taken tablets (hormonal medicines) they reduced my bleeding but when I stop them after 3 months course the same problem arises. Doctor advised mirena iud. But after searching so many side effects of it I am worried. What should be done?

there are two options for adenomyosis treatment ,if family complete you can go for hysterectomy.if you want to conserve your uterus then go for mirena insertion.
for initial 2-3 months afyer mirena insertion you may have intermenstrual spotting and cramps .but after that periods will get regularized and BLEEDING will reduce significantly

44 yrs. Diagnosed with adenomyosis. History of arterial clot in right hand. Put on ponstan. For one day this month I had pink discharge and then on second day it was red blood on toilet paper for half an hour and then it stopped. Would this be a period. Lmp august 28. Stomach feels hard and having pain in stomach, on and offf dizziness. Underneath neck feels stiff. Is adenomyosis progressing?

Adenomyosis is a condition, which is not effectively treated by drugs.(including hormones) at the age of 44 if you have inter menstrual spotting or bleeding, better to get a d&c done by a gynecologist and wait for hpr. The treatment is to be scheduled only after precuring the report.

treatment for adenomyosis is either hysterectomy or cyclical progesterone therapy or mirena insertion ( type of iud releasing levonorgestrel).
as you're 44 yrs ,if pain is severe you can go for hysterectomy.Or you can take progesterone tablets cyclicaly ,it will relief you of pain .

My mother is 56 years old. She has been suffering with knee joints pain from last 9 years. Doctor says for knee replacement. But she is diabetic but don't know which type of diabetes to her, because after taking medicine sugar level becomes normal. Is there any possibility of knee replacement with blood sugar? She is suffering from chronic desyntry, constipation,gastric, loss of weight, thyroid. Is it necessary to do endoscopy and colonoscopy for her. Is there any preparedness required before doing these two tests from home, I mean any medicine is to be taken by her in previous night. Re: constant tension in joints (female, 25) I am writing this in the hopes that someone will be able to recommend treatments I can pursue or the type of professionals I should see. My problem is that I experience tension in my joints (most commonly shoulders and elbows, sometimes ankles and wrists) at almost all times of the day. The only times I feel relief are when I am doing something I enjoy which is very distracting or when receiving physical touch like a massage. I have been experiencing these feelings since 2015 (my last year of high school). I have had long periods of relief or no symptoms in the past, but for the last year it has been a problem almost every single day. I have been to an ot and a physio for treatment in the past, but neither has had significant effects. I was recently diagnosed with gout and have been taking process for over a month now, but the problem is still there. I also have hypermobility in my joints. My other daily medications are: glucophage, fluanxol, epitech, camcolit, indoblok (as needed) and stream (as needed). I do suspect that the tension is psychosomatic to some degree, because of the fact that I don't experience it when I am doing something fun. But the second I do start to feel it, I fixate on the feeling and it only gets worse (fixating and ruminating are common for me because of my anxiety). If you have any idea what treatments/avenues I should pursue, please advise me. I feel that my quality of life is being affected and am desperate to resolve this issue. Thank you for your time and help.

Gouty arthritis problem
since I am a physiotherapist I cannot suggest medicine but I suggest you to hotwater fermentations that would help you to get relieved from joint pains. I also suggest you to go for good ayurvedic body massage which would help you to get relieved from joint pain and also swimming activity is advisable. But food precautions, it is better to avoid tamarind in the food rather to add lime or mango.

Question regarding my bradycardia i’m 20, I haven’t been diagnosed with any chronic disease nor took any medication regarding cardiovascular diseases or other chronic diseases, I used to be very active 2 years ago but since 2 years I haven’t been active, only a bit of walking, smoker, most of the time recently i’m under high stress and i’m not sleeping well, I did a liver function, wbc count wd, lipids and other blood components tests as well as urinalysis, but everything seems just fine, so i’m wondering if this bradycardia is normal or not, a year after I stopped doing physical activities my hr was 60-70. Im not moving frequently and my diet is not very good, I mostly eat from outside, half of the time it’s fast food, I don’t drink or consume any substances, I used to smoke a lot and consume large quantities of nicotine as much as a heavy smoker but I quit only 10 days ago, took 2 shots of pfizer vac yin 2020, heart rate 48-52, but goes up if I walk fast or climb stairs, or start walking suddenly, I take vitamins supplements, I don’t consume caffeine usually but I do now because of my phys and become finals, bet those were’t the best memories I hope this is just a medical student syndrome, and I can’t thank you enough if you’ve read through all of this.

Hyperkalemia can cause junctional rhythm and brady. Other causes are symptomatic rbbb, lbbb and/or bifascicular block.
In certain persons brady is normal and not a cause of concern.
Beta antagonists also lower heart rate. Hypothyroidism and congenital heart disease are other causes.
Cardiac evaluation, holter monitoring, serum electrolytes and drug history are required.
