For the first time, one can seek the medical attention of primary care physician or either mental care professional.
For an accurate diagnosis, a doctor must understand how the affected person relates to others. Family members and friends can provide information which might be useful in examination and diagnosis. Once primary care physician evaluates medical symptoms and rules out medical conditions, he will suggest whether further evaluation is necessary by a mental care physician.
