Hello lybrate-user, black gums is due to natural skin pigmentation,
there are no known home remedies for it.
There are two lines of treatment to manage this,
1. A minor procedure called gingival depigmentation can be done, results semi permanent, as we can not alter body's natural mechanism of making melanin pigmentation. 2. The black colour of gums is due to the melanin pigment, nothing needs to be done regarding it, even though you are very concerned, then you may see an experienced periodontist for some gum surgeries.

There is certainly a way to avoid it, that is maintenance of oral hygiene. Brush twice daily, keep your teeth clean and visit your dentist at least every six months. In case the situation has already progressed, there are certain methods to treat the same. Most common way being periodontal surgery. Hydrogen peroxide can be used only under the supervision of a professional only.
The symptom of bleeding gums warrants referral to a periodontist or an appropriately qualified dental surgeon.

Medicines are temporary relief .you need to go to a dentist for exact diagnosis and treatment. You can give him ketorol dt single tablet in case of pain and emergency .but you can't rely on medicines and they can't be taken time and again due to several reasons.
