Hi, My brother is suffering from g6pd since childhood. He is 28 years old now. Is covid vaccine safe for him?

Dear user, there is no study that shows the covid vaccine is a contraindication for g6pd deficiency. The vaccines are safe and should not have any side effects. However the strict diet and medication to be avoided have to be continues. I have a query regarding covid 19. Its heard in kerala that, people who came from overseas are being positive even after 30 days too. If so, what would be the situations of people who were asked to be in quarantine only for 14 days and so they might be travelling to their relatives etc after 14 days or even in public areas, as at present situation of relaxed lockdown at kerala. How can we confirm that overseas people who even completed quarantine of 14 or 28 days are even not the carriers of cavity 19? As an asymptomatic, as all overseas people are not being tested? Is there any relation or assumption being done with viral load etc?

This is the reason all international flights are cancelled during lockdown so that asymptomatic carrier can not enter in country.

As per yesterday's comment of CM, most of the patients in delhi were asymptomatic. So if a person has no symptoms he can also be a patient of corona. So what is your advice on that.

Thats true. Upto 80% of cases are asymptomatic or have very mild symptoms. Its like a normal influenza virus but has greater infectivity and mortality rate (specially in elderly).
