Dear lybrate-user,
as you mentioned that your mother is over 70. I would advise you not to have cashews or any dry fruits for that matter. All dry fruits and nuts contain phytic acid which is anti nutrients and causes tooth decay.
My advice would be to consume bael fruit (without fiber) as it is excellent for blood sugar management as well as digestion. Also you can try black grapes as they are full of polyphenols and provide nature sugar.

Yes, you can take milk, but preferably cow's milk. To cure these both issues I strongly recommend you for ayurveda treatment.
