About Hemorrhoids

Topic Image

Hemorrhoids, also called piles, are vascular structures in the anal canal. In their normal state, they are cushions that help with stool control. They become a disease when swollen or inflamed. he signs and symptoms of hemorrhoids depend on the type present. Internal hemorrhoids often result in painless, bright red rectal bleeding when defecating. External hemorrhoids often result in pain and swelling in the area of the anus. If bleeding occurs it is usually darker. Symptoms frequently get better after a few days. A skin tag may remain after the healing of an external hemorrhoid. The main reasons are as follows:

They occur more commonly in pregnant women because, as the uterus enlarges, it presses on the vein in the colon, causing it to bulge. Hemorrhoids are most common among adults aged 45 to 65 years. This does not mean, however, that young people and children do not get them.

  1. Hemorrhoids can occur after cases of chronic diarrhea.
  2. Straining to move stool puts additional pressure on the walls of the blood vessels.
  3. Staying in a seated position for long periods of time can cause hemorrhoids, especially on the toilet.
  4. Repeatedly lifting heavy objects can lead to hemorrhoids.
  5. Anal intercourse can cause new hemorrhoids or worsen existing ones.
  6. Diet-related obesity can cause hemorrhoids.

Some people inherit a tendency to develop hemorrhoids. A number of preventative measures are recommended, including avoiding straining while attempting to defecate, avoiding constipation and diarrhea either by eating a high-fiber diet and drinking plenty of fluid or by taking fiber supplements, and getting sufficient exercise. Spending less time attempting to defecate, avoiding reading while on the toilet, and losing weight for overweight persons and avoiding heavy lifting are also recommended.

To control hemorrhoids naturally, we create a high fiber diet plan hemorrhoids patients that include nutrition-rich food items. Here we write listed out meal timing and what food items you need to eat when you have hemorrhoids. These healthy meals are listed after discussion with professional dietitians. We also list those food items that should be avoided while following this hemorrhoids Indian diet meal plan.
