The two grooves on either side of your cheek is because of overstimulation of your jaw muscle which is known as masseter muscle .also known as masseter hypertrophy which is because of continuously chewing of chewing gums .it's the same principle as you do more workout in gym to make more muscles. Hello. Lybrate user. After cleft lip and palate surgery, there are procedures like speak therapy to guide speaking normally. It will gradually get normal. Cleft palate is a genetic condition and developmental disorder. It is not compulsory to affect the unborn child. I advice you to consult a general physician regarding, cleft lip of mom and child. Hi, how are you? I have gone through your complaint. The best solution for cleft lip and cleft palate is surgery only. Do not think about post operative minor drawbacks. It will be better to have operation get done by expert plastic surgeon. Best of luck.
