It is not necessary that your vaginal cyst contains blood but bartholin cyst may be filled with blood, bacteria, pus, mucus or other fluid. However, if you are seeing blood in the area, it is recommended for you to connect to your doctor again.

If a surgery is performed for the removal of a vaginal cyst, you can go home 1 to 6 hours after the procedure. Post surgery, you will need a few weeks to completely recover from it. It has to be kept in mind that a patient who underwent vaginal cyst surgery should avoid sexual intercourse for a minimum of two weeks. Your vulva needs at least two weeks of time to heal fully.

Vaginal cysts usually go away on their own but minor surgeries are performed to drain them or remove them completely. Doctors may prescribe you some oral medicines but it depends on the condition of the cyst.
