warm compresses: applying warm compresses to the cyst can help relieve discomfort and promote drainage. Soak a clean cloth in warm water and place it on the cyst for 10-15 minutes, several times a day.
Sitz baths: taking sitz baths can also provide relief. Fill a shallow tub with warm water and sit in it for 10-15 minutes,...more

However, it is important to note that filariasis is a communicable disease, which means that it can be transmitted from one person to another through the bites of infected mosquitoes. So if your husband has filariasis, it's important for both of you to take measures ...more

Balanced diet is best option for providing nutrients to the body. But if diet falls short you can take supplements but they are not better option always. In diet you can include dairy products - cheese, milk, dahi; dark green leafy vegetables - palak, broccoli; cereals; soy products; fruit juices. If these food products are not sufficient try balson's calci aid tablets. Take one tablet twice daily for a month after food. Please refer to a doctor after one month.

Hello lybrate-user, filariasis has got nothing to do with what you eat. If you are positive for filariasis infection you can effectively treat it with medicine. If you already got lymphedema associated with filariasis disease, then it can't be cured. Please get proper medical help.

As your father have filariasis on both legs for 15 years and sciatica -recently --i recommend a check-up by a good medical consultant first. Then you may have to go to neurologist / ortho doctor/ podiatrist-- as per his findings --all such doctors are available in good medical colleges and terciary care hospitals.
