The chances of having bleeding in natural pregnancy are about 20% but it may be higher (30- 40%) in IVF pregnancies. The blood flow can range from light pink to dark brown to bright red and from light spotting to menses like flow. Common causes for bleeding include implantation bleeding, sub-chorionic bleed, vaginal infections or unexplained. The pregnancy may continue with proper medication and advice of your doctor.
