Individuals with diabetes can get hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) when their bodies do not have enough sugar to use as fuel. It can happen for a few reasons, including diet, few medications and conditions, and exercise.

If you are diabetic, you must have been going for empty stomach blood cholesterol tests to know the sugar level in your body. If this is true, you should be worried as a new study claims that this habit causes more harm than good.
Diabetic people have a higher level of bad cholesterol in their bodies, which leads to excessive fat in the arteries. Due to the same reason, doctors suggest the patients to go for regular blood cholesterol tests.

Hypoglycemia is a condition that is associated with a lower amount of glucose in the body. Since glucose is the main source of energy in the body, it creates quite a few complications in the body. In a majority of the cases, this condition is associated with diabetes. Hypoglycemia, like fever, is not a disease but a disease indicator. A quick fix to keep hypoglycemia under check is to ensure that a patient intakes high-sugar food. A long-term fix involves a doctor treating a patient for the root...more

Hello, thanks for the query.
Madam I have seen the query. The tsh value is with in normal limits. Which means the current dosage of levothyroxine (25 mcg) is correct and has to be continued. If you reduce the dosage then tsh value will go up and t4 is likely to down. Another important aspect is that with a bmi (body mass index) is 34.4 kg/sq meter (normal < 23 kg/sq meter), which means you have an excess of almost 26 kg. That needs to be taken care of. It is not serious condition.
With tab. Of 25 mcg she is well controlled.
Ask her to take this drug empty stomach and nothing except water up to 1 hour.
Donot take cabbage in diet
avoid calcium, iron and soya protein in breakfast.
Check anti tpo test to see auto-immune status.
Go for marriage, as 10 % population is suferring with this problem.

Hello, thanks for the query.
Madam, I have seen the details. However, you have mentioned only tsh value, nothing about t3 & t4. It is necessary to know those values also. Tsh 4.6 mu/l is not really high. It must be with in the normal range mentioned in your lab report. In uncontrolled hypothyroidism tsh invariably goes uch higher and t4 values also may be low. Please come back with all the values also mention your weight & height. Thanks.

Hello, thanks for the quey.
I have seen the query. I am sure your doctor has told you that pentaprazole needs to be taken at last 30 to 40 minutes before breakfast. So please take in that fashiom. As regards taking levothyroxine, it is better if that tablet is taken early morning say around 6 am, because it is necessary to avoid taking any food or drug for almost an hour. Thanks.
