May resemble a sudden sharp pinching pain within a short time span. Generally occurs right after the Fracture when your nerves start to send signals of damage. This will fade away once the healing process takes place. In case returns post-treatment, it is advisable to seek medical attention immediately.
It is often felt at the initial stages of Fracture treatment, which can extend its duration for weeks. As the bone heals the pain starts to fade away. It may escalate in case one puts pressure on the broken bone. It is also common during post-Fracture physical exercises.
Rare form of pain in case of Fracture as it occurs only in few patients. This happens in cases where the Fracture is healed but the trauma that causes the Fracture scares other parts of the body in the same region.

The cast or splint is removed after 3-7 weeks, depending on the severity of your condition. It may take two to three weeks to regain the mobility after it is removed.
In minor cases where the Fracture is mild, it can heal itself because the genetic nature of the human body is designed to heal itself in case of any internal or external damage.
Even in the case of heavy damage, they will initiate the process of healing but if the damage is too much; It can cause life-threatening conditions if they do not get medical attention on time.
After the diagnosis and application of optimum treatment has been initiated, the healing process will take place in 4 steps:
When a bone gets damaged, the blood and its vessels also get affected by the trauma. During the first week of post-Fracture, the hematoma present in the blood creates clots and forms a protective layer around the broken bone to start the process of natural healing.
At this stage, the hematoma layer on the broken bone starts to release natural chemicals which trigger the development of collagen-rich fibrocartilaginous networks around the broken edges. The process usually occurs in the second week post-Fracture.
In the third stage of Fracture healing, the enzyme present in hematoma proceeds to endochondral ossification. And since the rupture in the blood vessels has been repaired by this stage, the blood will start to supply essential vitamins and minerals to initiate the process of calcification. The process generally gets started in the middle of the second week which can take 10-12 days to end.
Final stage of healing, which only includes the remodeling and placement of bone at its original site. This process also includes the restoration of muscles, vessels, and soft tissues that have also been damaged with the bone. In general cases, it can last up to 2-3 weeks, but in rare cases, it can take months or even years for the complete restoration.

Even though vitamin D does not have any direct effect on the overall healing process of bones, they are known to increase the efficacy of blood to carry and supply more calcium to the body. For those who are not able to get Vitamin D from the sun, they can add food items like swordfish, egg yolks, fortified yogurt, and orange juice to maintain their vitamin level.

Blood cells are the regulators of every vitamin and mineral in our body. In some cases of Fracture one may lose blood which can hamper the process of healing.
