Dear lybrate-user, gum recession could be because of the deposit of calculus on your teeth and around gum line. Visit your dentist for checkup and oral prophylaxis. Depending on the extent of gum recession, it can be treated just by Scaling procedure or other treatment modalities.
Grafting is needed in severe cases where even after Scaling you don't get satisfactory results.

It's completely understandable to be worried about this situation. Leaving cotton in for 5 days after a tooth extraction can increase the risk of complications, so it's important to address it right away.
Here's what you need to do:
1. Contact your dentist as soon as possible: this is the most important step. Don't try to remove the cotton yourself, as this could further irritate the extraction site. Your dentist will be able to remove it safely and assess the condition of the wound.

No doctor will ever recommend that you resume smoking, neither will i.
As far as strength of zirconia crown goes, if done properly and attached properly, it is one the strongest material to be used as crown. It will not be affected by normal food articles encountered in day to day life. Do not bite on non food items, the crown may crack.
