Hello, I am an 18 year old african american male. I am a track and field athlete and up until recently I have been a dominant force in the sport. But around fall of 2017 my body started to feel very different. My best season was spring of 2017 but I also suffered an acute kidney injury at the time but rebounded within two weeks. I then suffered a hamstring injury that summer which prevented me from running for about two months. But when I returned in fall, practice was noticeably harder then usual. The season of 2018 was difficult and I had to push harder then usual while feeling more fatigued then I ever did before. I was not able to come close to any of my personal best that season either. That spring I also injured my other hamstring. Fall of 2018 was the same story. Practice was unbearable as if I was not an athlete at all. Fast forward to now, I am in the middle of my senior year track season and I am having the same results as my 2018 season if not worse. Some of my symptoms include tingling feet, chest tightness while running, dizziness after running, muscle soreness, muscle spasms, and shortness of breathe. The muscle tightness seems to be the most alarming as a slight jog instantly weighs down my entire body. I most noticeably feel tightness after a race when my arms and legs are almost numb and I feel disoriented. I never had this feeling in 2017 and was able to power through workouts while feeling as if I was in top shape. I haven’t slacked off, if anything i’ve worked harder then ever hoping all of this was just mental or I was out of shape but it feels like my body is deteriorating. I’ve had cryotherapy, massages, epson salt baths, i’ve tried it all my muscles are constantly fatigued and the pain is becoming unbearable. But I am planning on running track in college so unless I know what is wrong I cannot stop running. I’ve had blood work done twice and the doctors have said I have mostly normal results. The only abnormality was an elevated creatine kinase of 600. I don’t know who to go to next because I know something is wrong because my body has never felt this bad and my performances are no where near where they used to be. I haven’t changed diet or anything different from 2017. I just want my health back. Anything would help at this point. Thank you for your time I truly appreciate it.

Hi lybrate-user. Firstly relax and don't panic! you had suffered from acute kidney disease and muscle injury that can be a reason your creatinine kinase increased levels. As far as your decreasing stamina and body complaints are concerned I suggest you to rejuvenate your body via ayurveda. What I mean by that is you may think that you jv recovered from previous injuries but your body needs more care. We can plan rejuvenating therapy

Dear Lybrate user. Thanks for the question. I can understand. Symptoms of a hamstring strain usually consist of a sudden sharp pain at the back of the thigh. This can occur whilst sprinting or performing a fast stretching movement such as a high kick. Hamstring strains are graded 1, 2 or 3 depending on how bad they are. Usually athletes have grade 1 sort. I suggest you to consult a physician for assessing the condition. Take care.

My right knee is swollen and it got fluid inside it. It's been 4 months when I first consulted with a doctor, took his medicines for 2 and half months but nothing got better, then I consulted another doctor and he prescribed me some test like hla b27 and it's negative, got vitamin b12 deficiency it's 190. He's also unable to tell what's the exact problem, currently in prayagraj and done with my mri and the results are nothing it's just my knee is swollen and that's why it's filled with the fluid. The second doctor took the water outside from my knee 2 times in a day (64 ml and 32 ml ), with the help of an injection, the problematic fact is that as soon the doctor took the fluid out, it got filled within just 10 mins. The third doctor also did the same yesterday in pryagraj after watching my mri results but nothing helped, the condition is getting worse. I got maybe every test reports a doctor needs and I just want the right medication, please help.

You need to use finger splint as a method of skin traction (the most effective method for jammed fingers). No need to take painkillers, it will subside itself. For getting back the sensation you need to opt for some ayurvedic neuropromotive remedies. You may consult me privately or whatsapp on mobile for a proper ayurvedic consultation.

Hi lybrate user ,The most common causes include injury, arthritis and normal wear and tear. Depending on the cause, you may feel pain or stiffness anywhere around the ankle. Your ankle may also swell, and you may not be able to put any weight on it. Usually, ankle pain gets better with rest, ice and over-the-counter pain medications.

thanks and regards

It looks like you are anaemic. If you have back pain after you sit for long hours then it is due to your haemoglobin levels as it is important to check that. And also you have to check with your vitamin and calcium, if the bones are weak then automatically the pain gets triggered more as there is less energy during any ...more

1. Drink 8 to 10 glasses of water per day. 2. Prop your feet on cushions, pillows, or even things like phone books, when you sleep. Also try elevating your feet several times a day as well. 3. Get moving- if you sit or stand in one area for a long period of time (like at work), this can lead to swollen feet. Try to move a little bit each hour, even if it’s a walk to the break room, a walk around the block at lunch, flexing your knees and ankles, or a lap around the office.
4. Make some dieta...more
