If BP is significantly high it may need medications definitely. The other means to control BP in addition are to reduce extra salt intake in our daily diet like pickles/ papads/ processed foods. Etc. Keep salt intake less than 6 gram per day. Regular walk and exercise in addition to relaxation practices like pranayama and meditation may help.

You are too young to have this high BP, so first we need to understand what is causing this rise in BP, for which you will need the following Investigations - ECG, ECHO, RFT, LIPID PROFILE, LFT, so that we can find the cause of this and treat acoordingly. Consult with these reports.

You need further check ups to determine the cause of high BP before opting to take or not to take any medicines. Please check your B.P in the next 4 weeks and if it remains elevated, you need to do a Renal Function Test primarily. Treatment may be decided later on. Consume less salt, have some fibre rich diet including fruits and vegetables, drink plenty of water and have some garlic daily either added in foods or in raw form.
