What are the best home remedies for vomiting?

Vomiting is a temporary problem that is caused due to food poisoning, stomach flu, motion sickness, overeating, too much alcohol consumption, and pregnancy. Some of the remedies to vomiting are:

  1. Ginger:

    It is beneficial for the digestive system and it also acts as a natural anti-emetic to prevent vomiting. Take a spoon full of fresh ginger juice and mix it with lemon juice. Consume it several times a day. You can also mix honey with ginger for better taste.

  2. Cinnamon:

    It can be a handy treatment for vomiting that is caused by digestive problems. Add a teaspoon of cinnamon powder into a cup of boiling water. Add a few drops of honey and then drink the mixture.

  3. Apple cider vinegar:

    It can help ease an upset stomach. It calms the stomach with its detoxification properties. It also helps with food poisoning because of its microbial properties. Mix a spoonful of apple cider vinegar and a few drops of honey in a glass of water and drink it. To freshen your mouth from the smell of vomit, rinse your mouth with a cup of water mixed with a spoon full of vinegar.

  4. Mint:

    Mint contains compounds which have a soothing effect on the stomach. Mint leaves also promote the digestion of food. You can directly consume mint leaves or drink in the form of tea.

  5. Fennel seeds:

    Fennel seeds possess antiemetic properties which help to promote digestion and reduce the tendency of vomiting and helps to get rid of vomiting. You can consume fennel seeds by making its tea.

  6. Clove:

    Clove has its aroma which helps to reduce the feeling of nausea. It is also effective in changing the taste buds. It also helps to stop the tendency of vomiting immediately.

  7. Deep breath:

    Taking a deep breath slowly has been proved by some of the researchers to decrease the feeling of vomiting.

  8. Orange juice:

    Orange juice has a specific flavour which helps to prevent the feeling of vomiting. You can drink orange as juice or in the form of salad.

  9. Small food serving:

    Taking small meals helps in proper digestion of food and reduces the effect of vomiting.

Summary: Vomiting can be prevented by taking ginger tea, mint, orange juice, clove fennel seeds, Apple cider vinegar, cinnamon. Practice a deep breath. Take small food serving.
