Hello, thanks for the query. I have seen the details mentioned. Madam, when one is on adequate dosage of levothyroxine then tsh is maintained around 3 to 4 mu/l, t3 & t4 are in normal range. That is considered as controlled hypothyroidism. Another aspect is please do not keep changing the dosage rapidly. It take about 6 weeks to see appropriate change in tsh levels. To calculate accurate dosage we need to look at weight, height, t4 & tsh levels plus symptoms if any. So if you have any questions ...more

Hello, Thanks for the query.
I have seen the details mentioned. Only FT4 is not so much important. TSH has to come up also total T4 level also needs to be checked. The very fact that TSH is still 0.007mU/L, shows you have still a very strong hyperactivity of thyroid gland. TSH has to come up to 2 to 4 mU/L range. The hyperactivity has to be completely brought in control. If you are on treatment for over 2 years then please talk to your doctor and find out if other options like Radio Iodine c...more

Hello, Thanks for the query.
I have seen the details. Your TSH level is now near normal, which is good. Because of that there are no symptoms. This is because of taking 12.5 mcg of thyroxine. The moment you stop that medication all the symptoms will return. Hypothyroidism is a hormone deficiency disease, which occurs because thyroid gland is not producing enough ornil hormone. This treatment has to on for lifetime. Thanks.

lybrate-user ji, Thanks for the query.
TSH 0.064 mU/L, shows that there is excess of thyroxine dosage. So it is necessary to reduce the dose by at least 12.5 to 25 mcg per day. Then check TSH after 6 weeks to see if TSH is within the expected normal range. Ideally it should be maintained around 3 to 4 mU/L. If you have any doubts please do come back. Thanks.

Diet and exercise are beneficial in general, but exercise and diet will not help you in hypothyroidism- to control or cure it Your thyroid gland may be tiny, but it plays a big role in how well your body functions. That's because the thyroid produces a hormone that regulates your metabolism, the process that converts what you eat and drink to energy. When you have hypothyroidism, or an underactive thyroid, your metabolism slows, causing you to gain weight more easily and feel sluggish and fatigu...more

Please give all the details as written in the reports like T3, T4 & TSH levels, FT3, Free T4 and Scanning report (in detail). Also tell me what other symptoms you have. Particularly your BP, heart rate (pulse), any eye symptoms, hair loss, sweating, wet skin menstruation related issues and anything else. Looking at all those details I will be able to advise. You may need a course of antithyroid treatment. Thanks.

This suggests that production of thyroid hormone by your thyroid gland has further reduced hence pituitary gland is trying to stimulate it by producing more TSH. You need to increase the dose of thuroid hormone supplement in consultation of your doctor.
