Dear lybrate-user,
Please talk to the psychologist who did the IQ test. She/he will know what tests are done, what was the behaviour during the test, was there scatter among the subtests, etc.
If OCD has interfered with timed tests of IQ, his IQ will improve. Otherwise, IQ is fixed for life of the person.

Dear Lybrate user, An IQ of 68 means your son is a slow learner. But with the correct support and education he can learn life skills. If his depression is due to his low IQ and inability to handle everyday tasks, he could need help with his confidence and self-esteem. You can start by complimenting even small achievements, that may not seem important at first. You may want to consult a counsellor/psychologist for further advice.
