CA 19-9 associated antigen levels are elevated in many patients with pancreatic cancer.  It is important to note that not every patient with pancreatic cancer will have an elevated CA 19-9 level. In addition, some non-cancerous conditions can cause high CA 19-9 levels.

Dear Rajiv,
It is in our culture, to keep the elderly persons at home and care for them till the end. This person needs nursing care also which your family members alone can not do. So, it is better to keep her at home and keep a part time or full time nursing assistant, hired from some voluntary agency. If your house is, not that convenient or if you have other commitments, you have to shift her to a nursing home after counselling all relevant relatives.

Dear Nawal,
It is really sad to see your father dementing. Please let me know the type of dementia CMC or RINPAS diagnosed him. He is too young to get Alzheimer's type of dementia.
If we investigate 10 persons, only one of them will have a treatable cause. Unfortunately it looks your father did not have a treatable cause. So we may not be able to bring him back to his original self. But there are few cholinesterase inhibitor kind of drugs available. They at least stop further deteriorati...more
