Lyme disease gets caused by a bacteria, known as Borrelia Burgdorferi, which are transmitted to humans through a bite from either an infected black-legged or deer tick. Symptoms can come up anytime in between 3 and 30 days after the bite. They can range quite widely, depending upon the stage of the infection.
