Hi doctor, my mother is 61 years old and is a multiple myeloma patient she is on chemotherapy. Her 3rd chemotherapy cycle is completed. After 3rd chemo cycle she was having fever for more than 9 days then we did covid test based on advice of our onco-hematologist doctor, unfortunately her covid test came positive. We have postponed the next chemo cycle now. She is taking in medication like favipiravir, etc from a physician on her first day her c- reactive protien was 110, d dimer- 400. On second day crp- 79 and d dimer- 1012. Therefore based on physician advice we injected 2 enoxaparin sodium 60 mg injection in 12 hrs gap, after d dimer drop to 390. After that doctor prescribed 6 more injection. Does this treatment won't affect her cancer treatment? Is there anything to worry about? What are the possible suggestions?

Actually the data is for 2 years for the bortezomib maintenance post bone marrow transplant.
However it may be continued if there is no toxicity due to same.
So would request to discuss with the physician and if there is no toxicity it may be prudent to continue the same.
The expected toxicity would be sensory neuropathy.

Eat a high-fiber diet. Get insoluble and soluble fiber. Limit foods that are high in fat. Choose lean meats. Incorporate probiotics into your diet. Eat on schedule. Stay hydrated.

Respected Sir/Madam, This is in regards to the patient (my grandma). She has been lately struggling to walk and sit. She fell down and broke her spine before 5 months. She wasn't able to bear the pain for the last 2 months. Then we took her to hospital where they told after taking biopsy it might be multiple myeloma. They referred another hospital's Oncology department for further treatment. Radiation was given 10 times first in the spinal cord. Even after that treatment the pain did not stop and radiation was given to hip also. Now 2 weeks has passed after that and still she is having the pain.

I am 52 years old. I have stage 4 pancreatic cancer spread to liver (adenocarcinoma). I have taken 6 cycles of chemotherapy and there was a break for 2 months. Recently I had some internal bleeding due to oesophageal varices and banding done. After that there was ascites in the peritoneal cavity. latest ct scan shows cancer cells are found to increase in liver and peritoneum. I have developed jaundice with 4.7 bilirubin. Ms. is short form for mitral stenosis (heart valve problem) and multiple sclerosis (neurological problem, I think you mean multiple sclerosis, if so then will require detailed history and examination.
