Sialendoscopy or salivary gland endoscopy is a procedure, which examines the salivary gland ducts minimally. Dear Lybrate user,
due to long time use of tobacco, there is develop a disease condition known as "Oral Sub Mucous Fibrosis" in this disease mouth opening reduces with increase of time.
Treatment:- you should quite tobacco i.e. Pan, gutkha, bidi, cigfate etc. Maintain oral hygiene. Avoid spicy food. Contact to dentist for treatment of OSMF and increase your mouth opening also.

Kindly consult an oral & maxillofacial surgeon in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations (full mouth x-ray, tmj open & closed mouth, mri) & clinical examination to decide upon treatment. Until then have soft diet. Avoid yawning. You may need deep cleaning along with surgical curettage or gum strengthening procedure. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash after every meal. Use pepsodent tooth paste & gum paint for 2 to 3 weeks. Advance procedures can be done with laser. You may consult me in person.
